When the Heart Aches

I’ve been putting this mix together for about a year but it’s pretty much my Quarantine Mix. I won’t say these are all sad songs but they are all tracks I have some kind of emotional connection to. Some remind me of a certain summer, or a song that played on the way to a friend’s funeral, some seem to speak from a similar place where my anxiety and depression hide or when I was younger and trying to learn how to deal with being my weird self. Some make me think of how much I love my kids and wife. They make me feel less alone. I find comfort in these songs and maybe you will too.

Some of the tracks aren’t even from bands I’m really a fan of but these tracks have stuck to me and I find myself returning to them more than any others over the last year.

A storm is about to hit here and it feels appropriate to put it on shuffle and escape for a bit.
